Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph - T137.427.11.011.01

In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model that featured a slim case, narrow indices, and a steel bracelet. Its wide, horizontal lug, typical for the time, was perfectly integrated into the flat, tonneau-shaped case. A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust." The "X" stands for the Roman numeral ten and for the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters, to which the watch remains water-resistant. In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of the predecessor model. The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph has a diameter of 42 mm. It features a slight tonneau shape and is adorned with a narrow, round bezel. Vertically brushed, rounded finishes alternate with polished facets on the sides. The Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph is equipped with a dial featuring high-contrast totalizers, as well as nickel-plated indices and hands. The lines of the case extend directly into the bracelet without the use of traditional lugs. Its most striking feature is its row of large links that span the entire width. Its flexibility and suppleness make it a true success of ergonomic design and provide an extraordinary wearing comfort. The satin finishing on the outer sides is as meticulously executed as the polishing of the inner surfaces. The hands of the Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph are coated with SuperLuminova® and have been placed very close to each other. This allows the dial to be brought closer to the watch glass. The optical effect thus achieved by the Tissot designers makes the watch case appear even flatter and slimmer than it actually is. The watch features a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a mineral glass exhibition case back. Its Swiss Made Valjoux A05.H31 automatic movement has a skeletonized rotor and offers up to 60 hours of power reserve. This version of the Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph features a white dial with indices and dark blue totalizers, as well as a 316L stainless steel bracelet with a quick-change system and a butterfly folding clasp with push-buttons. The model comes with a special pin for quick date adjustment on the left side of the case.
