The double hollow structure consists of an outer case that envelops and supports the middle case at four separate points, making the middle case appear to float. The outer case is made of several components manufactured using metal injection molding (MIM) and also includes resin buffer components. The shock absorbers protecting the middle case remain visible and create a design of complex and intricate structural beauty. The solar-powered analog Tough Movement was developed with the goal of achieving the highest level of precision, reliability, and practicality. It has now been further developed into the TOUGH MVT.2 and features an advanced self-regulating control system that withstands external interference. Robust solar power ensures stable operation of the automatic time setting and automatic correction of the hands' home position. The TOUGH MVT.2 features a new function to detect shocks, magnetic fields, and other external interference that can affect the accuracy of the time display. When the watch detects a strong impact, the automatic hand correction function immediately returns the hands to the correct position. If a strong external magnetic field is detected, the hands temporarily stop moving and automatically return to the correct position as soon as the magnetic field disappears. The newly developed dark black dial features micro-fabricated surface textures that scatter light and reduce reflection, increasing contrast and ensuring clear visibility in any environment. Combined with a solar system in the dial that captures enough light to power the watch, this results in a dial color with great depth. Scratch-resistant, highly transparent sapphire crystal improves clarity, and eco-friendly bio-based resin for the strap and middle case helps reduce environmental impact.
