As the successor to the first tactile multifunctional watch in history – the T-Touch, launched by Tissot in 1999 – the current T-Touch Connect Solar is a symbol of the brand's philosophy: Innovators by Tradition. Measuring 47 millimeters, the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar presents itself as light, hypoallergenic, and robust thanks to a titanium case with a ceramic bezel. It is operated via the tactile, scratch-resistant sapphire glass, an electronic crown, and 2 pushers. Connection to the smartphone is made via Bluetooth and with the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar App available in the App Store, Google Play, and the Huawei App Gallery. This connectivity allows incoming calls and all desired notifications to be displayed on the energy-saving Memory-In-Pixel display. Regular updates provide room for successive extensions of functionality. Very consciously designed as a hybrid, Tissot's innovation retains most of its functionality even without a connection to a smartphone. These include: Activity Tracker (pedometer, distance covered, calorie consumption), compass, barometer, temperature display, altimeter and altitude difference meter, second time zone, perpetual calendar, countdown, and various stop and alarm functions. Powered by sunlight, the battery life of the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar in offline mode is virtually unlimited. In connected mode, it achieves at least 6 months of power reserve, depending on the user's behavior and solar radiation. For this purpose, it relies on state-of-the-art solar cells integrated into the dial to continuously supply its battery with energy, largely independent of stationary charging. The "Sw-ALPS" operating system, developed specifically in Switzerland, ensures compatibility with iOS, Android, and Huawei's Harmony OS. A total of 35 patents were filed during the conception of this watch. The Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar is available in various finishes such as satin-finished titanium, titanium with black PVD coating, or titanium with rose gold PVD coating, as well as with titanium, rubber, or silicone straps. This version of the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar features a non-magnetic titanium case with a blue ceramic bezel with luminous wind rose markings. Striking hour and minute hands, coated with SuperLuminova® luminous material, clearly stand out from the black dial and guarantee optimal readability. The blue textile strap features a pin buckle and a quick-change system.
