Rado's origins trace back to 1917, when brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup founded the watch manufactory Schlup & Co in Lengnau (BE). In the 1950s, the first complete collection under the name "Rado" was presented – the beginning of a unique success story in the Swiss watch industry.
